Okay, well the heater isn’t technically blowing yet, but I do have the heater core built and ready to be installed. I used two 1500watt ceramic heaters, pulled the cores out of them and wired them up. I used the existing heater housing and built it into the car’s heater core, which should allow them to be held just perfectly. They will be individually switched so I can turn on just one or both cores.

I have also hooked up the vacuum brake booster to come on when the car is switched on. This will add some needed power to the brakes and actually allow me to stop the car!

It finally happened! Check it out!

At long last, the house has been outfitted with a 20A GFIC outlet just for charging. I even marked the territory with a Frankencar sticker, which is available on our Zazzle store. The outlet is wired to its own 20A breaker user 12 AWG wire, and so should be perfectly safe for up to 16A or up to 19A for shorter periods. The Zivan NG3 charger we are using is estimated to top out around 17.5A for the particular pack we are using and should not draw over 19A ever. Now we can charge the car without starting a fire in the garage walls. Awesome!
